Moving to Birmingham Jewellery Finishers in the mid 1980s, I worked on all aspects of Jewellery Polishing and Finishing, including Gold and Rhodium Plating.
By the late 1980s I undertook sub-contract Jewellery Manufacture dealing with companies such as K Rowels.
1990 – 2000..... I started at Gallery Jewellers as a Two-Part Production Mounter before moving to Bangle and Bracelet Production. I then had an opportunity to work in the area of Research & Development, working on Model and Production Masters and One-off pieces.
By 1995, I was an in-house Jeweller for Jewellery Creations (incorporating Westminster Jewellery) working in all aspects of Jewellery Manufacture and Customer repairs.
2000 – Present..... By the dawn of the Millennium, I had become a Production Mounter working for M&M in Birmingham before moving to Leicestershire to join Cathy Stephens Jewellery where I held the position of Workshop Manager dealing in administration and all aspects of jewellery manufacture including Laser Welding. It was during this time that I also began to train Apprentices.
I returned to Birmingham in 2006, working for Stanley’s on Vyse Street as a Goldsmith and Repairer Jeweller before deciding upon embarking on a new life in the Isle of Man.
